The New World’s Strongest Beer
An innovative Scottish brewery has just launched what it describes as the world’s strongest beer, with 32% ABV (alcohol by volume); this beer will unquestionably knock you on your ass.
Tactical Nuclear Penguin (awesome name) is limitedly available for £30 each by BrewDog of Fraserburgh. Supporters can also opt-in to purchase the beverage for £250, which includes a small share in the company.
This super strong brew beats out the reigning title holder German Concoction Schorschbraerm at 31% abv. BrewDog has been branded as reckless for the releasing of its (18.2% ABV) beer Tokyo, and the subsequent beer Nanny State.
Managing director James Watt says, “This beer is about pushing the boundaries, it is about taking innovation in beer to a whole new level. It comes with a small wine stopper; we’re encouraging people to enjoy this in the same way you would enjoy a whisky.”
The warning label clearly states: “This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album or a visit from a friendly yet anxious ghost.”
Alcohol Focus Scotland Jack Law said: “The fact they have achieved a new world record is not admirable, that’s for sure,” clearly showing their support for the company.
The good news is BrewDog has been approved by the Aberdeenshire Council for a new headquarters to produce millions of bottles of beer a year. We look forward to seeing Tactical Nuclear Penguin beer go global, and taking the world by storm. Drink with caution.
