12 Qualities I look for in a Man

Everyone has different things they look for in a man, but I would say most girls would agree with most of my qualities. So men pay attention, and don’t be who you aren’t.  Hopefully you can check off at least 7 of these qualities.

Please keep in mind these qualities are not in particular order and are my personal opinion. Feel free to throw in your own qualities or comments, both men and women!

Women, perhaps I missed a few qualities, or you disagree. I would love your feedback as well.

Adventurous

A man who is adventurous is uniformly spontaneous, making life not the same boring routine. I need a man who can decide by impulse, act on it, and most importantly bring me along for the joyride.

Culture

Culture gives an individual a unique identity. I describe culture as flavor. Just as I like my food I like my man to be the same, flavorful.

Ethics

A man with ethics knows his right from wrong. Having good ethics usually leads him to being a hard worker and having good morals. I need a man to know when it’s his turn to apologize, just as I would do the same. Make up sex can be great!

Family Oriented

A man who is family oriented tends to be more respectful and willing to share his feelings. I’m family oriented, and I need to know if I bring him home to meet the family he will show a mutual gratitude, making a great impression on my family.

Good listener

Aw, us girls love to vent out about every single experience we live. I need someone who is a good listener and actually listens so I don’t feel as if I’m talking to the wall. If you don’t quite listen to every detail, just act like you are. Throw in an occasional “what” or “really”.

Honesty

There are some little white lies that I can excuse, but the major lies I cannot. To me, they both matter. Just be honest. I would much rather hear some funny story about you checking out a hot girl during guys night out, then none at all!

Love

Everyone adores the feeling of being loved. Even if it’s just a fling, it’s crucial that you make her feel important by showing her sincere affection.

Personal hygiene

I think people also have a misconception of personal hygiene. Personal hygiene means preservation of health and healthy living, meaning an occasional workout here and there. Imaging a hot girl who doesn’t do any of the following; brush her teeth, wash her hair on a regular basis, wear deodorant, shave her arm pits, pluck her eyebrows, an occasional workout, or doesn’t take care of herself south of the border. Just as guys don’t like a girl without basic personal hygiene skills, we don’t either.

Respect

What do you have without respect? Nothing! If you can’t R-E-S-P-E-C-T me then I can’t respect you. It’s plan and simple. Some men tend to respect their male counterparts much more than women, sorry guys I can’t date a chauvinist pig. Some guys feel they are more superior to women. We live in the 21st century, get it together.

Style

There is nothing sexier than a guy with his own sense of style. He doesn’t have to wear what’s considered to be in style, but I prefer a man who actually has his own sense.

Supportive

Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars, but we both require each other’s support, whether we agree or not. In an ideal man’s world, he would love to hear her say, “It’s okay honey lets spend our life’s savings and buy front row season pass tickets to your favorite team.” Sure that’s ideal, but realistically, just as I would support your needs to attend specific games, I need you to support my decision on why I need my designer clothes or a change in career.

Trustworthy

I want a guy who is reliable, honest, loyal, and accountable. He must also promote healthy communication and understanding in the relationship. All these attributes combined make for a perfect partner.
