Facebook Do’s and Don’ts When Dating

Relationships are not always easy. Infact, they can be down right impossible to deal with at times. With all the things in this world that help complicate relationships, who would have thought we needed something more? It’s called Facebook. Facebook can be the creator of some relationships, and it can also be the absolute demise of some relationships. Girls are especially prone to stalking over this horrible “friends” network, which gives most men a huge mess to deal with in the end. In most cases, Facebook has been known to cause unnecessary drama and friction to most relationships. If you and your girl are seemingly having problems due to Facebook, it is probably because of one of these ten reasons.

The Friends She Doesn’t Know

She looks through your friend list and notices that you are friends with a lot of girls she doesn’t know, much less even recognize.

Inappropriate Links

Every guy has that token guy friend that all your girlfriends, past and the present just hate. He’s the one that your girlfriend dislikes when you hangout, because you always seem to make bad decisions when he is around. This same friend is also the guy that always posts those naughty links to “Hottest College Girls”, “Playboy’s Top 10”, “Naked and Barely Legal” and then makes comments attached to the links that reads, “Hey man, thought one of these girls looks like that chick you boned last summer!”

Un-tagging Pictures

This may seem innocent to you, but to her, un-tagging yourself from a photo that she tagged you in means that you don’t want people to know she’s your girlfriend, especially if the picture was of you and her. You may just think you looked bad, but she is going to assume you are ashamed of your relationship with her, or you want to appear to be single.

Status Changes

Your status says, “Going to dominate poker tonight, and then hitting up the bars!” When you specifically told her the reason you couldn’t get together was because you were at home sick.

Picture Tagging

It can either be a random chick or some girl that you happen to be friends with, tags you in a picture where you are clearly intoxicated and have your arms wrapped around some other girl.

Friend Stalking

She notices that one of your friends, who she is not friends with, happens to have a public page. She frequents this page almost everyday until she sees the one comment you left about your crazy night before, somehow catching you in a lie.

Your Ex

Your ex is still a friend on Facebook and continues to send you pokes, messages, bumper stickers, constantly “likes” everything you do on your page, and even still goes out of her way to tag old pictures of you two.

Finding Out Your Password

Some girls just flat out ask the guy they are dating for their password and login, and the guys just hand it over. Not smart. Other guys log onto their account on her computer and forget to logout of the account when they’re done, therefore bringing up their page the next time she tries to log into her account from her computer. Her finding out your password is basically an all access pass to trouble.

Random Comments

She notices that some random girl keeps writing on your wall. She doesn’t bother asking if it’s your long lost cousin, or perhaps your sister, she doesn’t care. She automatically assumes you are cheating and dumps you, or sometimes messages the random to get down to the bottom of the mystery herself.

Creating a Fake Page

As crazy as it may seem, it happens! Your girl is so consumed with the idea that you are cheating, or talking to other girls via Facebook, that she decides to get a little nutty and create a “fake” Facebook page. Creating an unreal identity, and finding a gorgeous model’s picture to use as the face of this profile, she then asks you to be friends and engages you in conversation through messages. Yes this is creepy, but people do it all the time. A girl will go to great lengths to see how you would respond to some hot chick that is coming on to you.

The solution may seem obvious; if you are encountering any of these problems, simply get off Facebook. You will save yourself a lot of stress and drama, because quite frankly, your girl is going to be all over your Facebook page, and she’ll always be questioning some aspect about it. Facebook was originally created as a networking tool to help people stay in touch, and now is used as a very easy way to stalk people. So be prepared for this website to bring you a lot of problems to any current or future relationships.
