Yes, Valentine’s Day is Cliché
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, with guys scrambling to get their significant other something that will display their love and affection, you can’t go wrong with these cliché Valentine’s Day gifts. You won’t get originality points, but I’m sure your significant other will be pleased with your support for the commercially injected holiday.
Flowers
Flowers on Valentine’s Day are definitely cliché, but a woman undeniably wants them. You can be a little less cliché and much more romantic by staying away from red or pink roses. Every girl has a favorite flower, find out what it is and send her a bouquet of those.
Another great way to spice up a bouquet is to make it of something other than flowers. It makes your bouquet even more personal. For example, if your girl is a painter, make her a bouquet of paint brushes this Valentine’s Day.
Women love to get flowers, but they love getting them even more when they can show them off. Send the flowers to her office so she can talk you up to her co-workers or send to her apartment so she can one up her roommate this year.
Candy
Big heart shaped boxes full of chocolate can be bought almost anywhere before Valentine’s Day. Don’t buy these, because most she’ll probably hate half of the chocolates that come in the box. Find out her favorite candy and give her a package of them instead. Make it cute by tying the candy together with a red or pink bow. Make it more personal by including a card.
Jewelry
Any type of jewelry will make a woman light up, but try to steer clear of holiday themed items. Give her something she can wear all year. Take a look at the styles she wears most often and buy something that will match what she already has.
Lingerie
Women love lingerie even though some are too shy to admit it. Lingerie should be treated like dessert. It is so special because you don’t get it every night. If you decide to buy her lingerie, make sure you know her size. If you buy something too big, she’s going to assume you think she’s fat. If you buy something too small, she’s going to think she’s too fat.
Spa
A gift certificate to the spa is always a great gift, but spending the day at the spa with the one you love is far more special. Get ahead of the game and make an appointment for a couple’s massage Valentine’s Day weekend. Most spas offer special couple’s holiday packages. Get relaxed and prepared side by side for your romantic night together.
